We get loads of questions on how best to store and serve our chilled pet food. So here are our top recommendations on the best methods to refrigerate, freeze and defrost our chilled cat food.

Single Serve Chilled Food

  • We recommend storing our single serve chilled cat food in the fridge at 4°C to ensure that they remain in optimal condition to the end of their shelf life.
  • If required, they may also be stored frozen.
  • Thawing the cat food is best done in the fridge, and once thawed, we do not recommend to re-freeze.
  • We do not suggest feeding your cat the chilled food once the best before date has passed, even if they have been stored frozen

Multiple Serve Chilled Food

  • We recommend storing our 800g mince in the fridge at 4°C to ensure that they remain in optimal condition. They can be stored this way to the end of their shelf life, but if the mince is too large for your furry companion to consume within 5 days of opening, they can also be frozen.
  • When storing frozen, we suggest dividing the mince into meal sized portions and freezing these portions individually.
  • Thawing the mince is best done in the fridge, and once thawed, we do not recommend to re-freeze.
  • We do not suggest feeding your cat the mince once the best before date has passed, even if the roll has been stored frozen.

And if you haven't tried our chilled cat food, why not add a little variety to your cat’s diet? They are a great nutritional option your cat will love.
